Tactile Feedback
Tactile feedback adds a physical response through the sense of touch to biofeedback and neurofeedback training. This category includes the Mindfield Tactile Interface and the vibration components that connect to it, which make training signals physically perceptible.
What is tactile feedback?
Tactile feedback refers to a response delivered through the sense of touch. In biofeedback and neurofeedback training the sense of touch is usually addressed through vibration; other forms such as pressure or touch are also possible. Tactile stimuli are used to help trainees become more aware of their body reactions or brain waves.
The Mindfield Tactile Interface
The Tactile Interface is a control unit that provides tactile vibration feedback for all MindMaster devices, with the exception of the MindMaster Neuro 4. Either a MindPet stuffed animal with a vibration motor or a vibration pillow can be connected to the interface, and the intensity of the vibration is continuously adjustable.
The vibration can be activated in the Neurofeedback Master Software and the Biofeedback Master Software on all training screens and linked to the available neurofeedback and biofeedback parameters. For example, when a threshold is reached in neurofeedback training or the skin conductance changes in biofeedback, a vibration can be triggered as feedback.
Please note: For MindMaster devices, the model number (4, 9, 11) is a model designation and does not indicate the number of channels.

Tactile feedback can be used in several ways during biofeedback and neurofeedback training:

- Noticing tension: vibrations can draw attention to signs of tension and support conscious relaxation.
- Feedback and motivation: as a positive signal when training goals are reached, tactile feedback can help keep trainees motivated.
