Temperature

Peripheral skin temperature at the fingers or toes is closely linked to blood circulation and changes with the state of relaxation. Under tension the blood vessels constrict and the hands become cooler; during relaxation they become warmer. Temperature biofeedback makes this slow response visible and is used for body awareness and relaxation training.

Training tip

Since skin temperature responds slowly and is influenced by room temperature, we recommend training in a temperature-stable, quiet room with regular, short sessions.
