Here you will find our biofeedback devices for professional use and for training at home. Biofeedback makes visible and audible those body signals we do not normally perceive consciously – such as muscle tension, skin conductance or skin temperature. Through this real-time feedback, users learn to perceive body functions more consciously and to influence them deliberately.

What is biofeedback?

None of our senses can directly measure autonomic parameters such as skin conductance, circulation or muscle tension. A biofeedback device records these signals, evaluates them and displays them immediately. This makes the training of relaxation, body awareness and self-regulation tangible.

Professional biofeedback systems

The MindMaster Bio series is our professional system for clinics and practices. Depending on the model it measures several physiological signals at once – muscle tension (EMG), heart rate and HRV, blood volume pulse, respiration, skin conductance (EDA) and temperature:

Bio 6 – 2-channel EMG, skin conductance (EDA) and temperature.
Bio 7 – adds pulse and respiration (HRV-capable).
Bio 8 – 3-channel EMG plus pulse and respiration with two breathing belts.

The MindMaster BioNeuro series combines biofeedback and neurofeedback (EEG) in one device.

Biofeedback devices for home use

The Mindfield eSense sensors measure skin conductance, skin temperature, heart rate variability, muscle activity or respiration via smartphone or tablet. These parameters relate to tension and relaxation and are used in biofeedback training for stress management. The eSense sensors are particularly suited to private users and offer an affordable entry price from 129 EUR.

The Mindfield USB skin temperature sensor is a compact sensor with a USB connection and included software, used for professional skin-temperature biofeedback (e.g. hand-warming training during relaxation exercises). Further carefully selected devices from other manufacturers – such as Bittium FAROS for HRV analysis and NeuroTrac for EMG biofeedback – round out our range.

Biofeedback parameters at a glance

EDA/GSR (skin conductance) – reflects sympathetic nervous system activity, a widely used stress indicator.
EMG (muscle tension) – measures muscle activity in microvolts, for targeted relaxation or activation training.
HRV (heart rate variability) – tracks beat-to-beat variability for coherence and relaxation training.
Respiration – breathing rate and depth for breathing exercises.
Temperature – peripheral skin temperature as a sign of vascular relaxation.

Professional biofeedback training

The Academy for Neurofeedback (AfN) offers a compact biofeedback trainer/therapist training (BFB 1–2) with a final examination over approx. 6 months. Suitable for physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists and alternative practitioners who want to integrate scientifically based biofeedback methods into their practice. The courses take place in small groups across Germany.
