Tactile Feedback

The Mindfield Tactile Interface is an extension for a tactile (vibration) feedback for all MindMaster devices, except the MindMaster Neuro 4.

By means of this interface (control unit) either a MindPet stuffed animal with vibration motor or a vibration pillow can be connected and the intensity of the vibration can be controlled continuously.

The vibration can then be activated in the neurofeedback master software and biofeedback master software in all training screens and linked to all possible neurofeedback parameters and biofeedback parameters. For example, if a threshold is met in NFB training or skin resistance is lowered in biofeedback, a vibration will take place as a reward. Please feel free to call us for further advice.

What is tactile feedback?

Tactile feedback refers to physical feedback using the sense of touch. In biofeedback and neurofeedback training, the sense of touch is usually activated with vibrations. However, there are also other forms of tactile feedback, such as pressure or touch.

In neurofeedback and biofeedback, tactile methods are used to help the trainee become more aware of their body reactions, or brain waves.

Tactile methods can be used in neurofeedback and biofeedback training as follows:

  • Enhancing concentration: The tactile stimulus increases the focus on the training. This leads to fewer distractions and better training results.
  • Stress reduction: The vibrations can be used to make the user more aware of signs of stress or tension. This helps the user know when to relax in order to reduce stress.
  • Reward system: Tactile methods can also be used as a reward. This keeps the user motivated by providing a positive stimulus for their training success.
