The Classroom licenses for Kubios HRV Scientific let you run the scientifically validated HRV analysis software and the Kubios HRV app with several simultaneous sessions through a single license key. Ideal for universities, research institutes, colleges and training centres.

Two usage types

• Academic Use: for larger research teams that use the Scientific software and the Kubios HRV app together via one license key.
• Educational Use: for educational institutions using the software in the classroom for the sole purpose of teaching or instructing students.

Available sizes (simultaneous sessions)

Each license allows a fixed number of simultaneous desktop and mobile sessions: 10, 20 or 30 sessions. The number of installations is not limited.

Subscription periods

Available as a 1-, 2- or 3-year license from activation of the serial number. All prices include statutory VAT.

Group Measurements: measure several participants at once

With a Group Measurement license you run 10, 20 or 30 HRV measurements simultaneously using the free Kubios HRV app – depending on the license tier. All recordings are then analysed centrally in Kubios HRV Scientific on your computer. Ideal for studies, courses and team settings where many people are measured in parallel.

How parallel measurement works

• One device + one sensor per measurement: Each simultaneous measurement needs its own smartphone and a compatible Bluetooth HR sensor. So 10 parallel measurements require 10 phones and 10 sensors.
• Shared Kubios account: All participants log into the app with the same Kubios user account (the one tied to your Group Measurement license). Measurements can be taken remotely.
• Measurement Subject profiles: In the app’s custom measurement mode you create a subject profile for each person so the data can be clearly attributed.
• Central analysis: After collection you download all measurements and analyse them with the validated pre-processing and HRV algorithms of Kubios HRV Scientific.

Measuring with the mobile Kubios HRV app

The app (iOS & Android, free) is the mobile recording tool. For scientific recordings it uses the Polar SDK and a Bluetooth sensor; for simple readiness measurements the smartphone alone is enough.

• With a sensor (recommended for research): Polar H10 (ECG chest strap – accurate RR intervals, raw ECG, acceleration), Polar Verity Sense (optical armband – PPI, raw PPG) or our own Mindfield eSense Pulse (validated against medical-grade ECG).
• Smartphone only (SCG): For resting/readiness measurements the phone’s accelerometer detects the heartbeats (seismocardiography) when placed on the chest – with accuracy comparable to chest straps. For maximum precision an ECG chest strap remains the gold standard.
