FAROS 180 Portable ECG Monitor 1 channel
The Faros sensor is a portable, external, waterproof ECG monitor and a wireless measurement tool for ECG and R-R-Interval measurements. While our eSense Pulse is suited for short term HRV measurements, the Faros 180 is perfectly made for long term measurements. We also created a comparison of both devices.
The Faros 180 is incredibly small and lightweight (only 20 grams), making it ideal for long-term use on the chest without causing any discomfort. The device functions seamlessly with our 24-hour long-term electrodes, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit for extended wear. The included electrode cable features a snap button connector,
Wearing can be made easy by our 24 h long term electrodes. There are other options available as well. Included in the delivery is an electrode cable with snap button connector, fitting any standard disposable ECG gel electrode. Electrodes are not included, therefore please order our 24 h long term electrodes in addition. With these electrodes nothing stands in the way of a long-term measurement with the portable ECG monitor from Bittium, the electrodes adhere excellently to the body and are also skin-friendly, so it is not at all unpleasant to put on the long-term ECG device.
The Data measured by the Faros sensor can be analyzed well with the Kubios Scientific software. Please note that data recorded in EDF format by the Faros is only compatible with the Kubios Premium Software, not with the free Standard version. This portable ECG monitor is the ideal choice for anyone looking to conduct long-term HRV measurements and work on their overall health. FAROS 180: Putting on the long-term ECG device
The long-term ECG monitor from Bittium is applied to the chest, for this any chest hair (if present) should be removed at the application site so that the electrodes hold better and the HRV long-term measurement is not impaired. After the hair has been removed, the body site should be cleaned well and dried so that it is no longer moist. Afterwards, the long-term electrodes can be glued in the middle of the chest, one electrode should be placed at the lower end of the sternum and another one at the upper end, so that the FAROS 180 can still find space in the middle between the two electrodes.
Now you can place the long-term ECG device centrally between the two electrodes and couple it with the connection points of the electrodes. Now click on the start button and wait until the FAROS 180 (portable ECG device) emits an acoustic and visual start signal. Now you have correctly attached the long-term ECG monitor and the ECG recording begins.
In order to treat a cardiac abnormality, it needs to be detected first. This requires a reliable device with a clear and accurate ECG signal. There are some conditions that can just be found when the ECG is measured for multiple days (for example some arrhythmias, such as atrial fibrillation). The probability in detecting these events rises the more data your device can gather. This is exactly what the Faros 180 is made for.
Versatile
Bittium Faros sensors are not just precise. They are also comfortable to wear and very easy to use. Thanks to the patented mounting options you can select the optimal setup. Measure ECG discreetly under your clothes with our 24 hours long-term EDA electrodes or with the Bittium FastFix™ wearable patch electrode. Bittium Faros ECG devices can also be used as wireless ECG transmitters with Bluetooth® connectivity.
Certified
Bittium Faros waterproof ECG devices are medical CE and FDA 510(k) cleared class IIa medical devices.
